Make your life easier: rely on an English-Spanish interpreter for your medical and administrative appointments.

Spanish interpreter in Cádiz and Seville

Sara Jimenez Gomez - Interpreting medical - English > Spanish

Need to handle some paperwork or attend a medical appointment in Spain, but don’t understand Spanish well?

Would you like to go to an estate agent in Cádiz or Seville, but you only speak English?

Or do you need help communicating with your patients or clients who can’t speak Spanish?

If you’ve been in any of these situations, you‘ll know how bad it feels when you can't understand what people are saying.

Not to mention the time you spend, the money you waste because you hadn’t understood how to pay a certain tax, or the bad impression you make on your clients.

Don’t be fooled by thinking being able to communicate on a basic level is enough. Or by thinking just anyone bilingual in Spanish and English can help you out.

Make your life easier.

  • Attend medical appointments with peace of mind, knowing there will be no misunderstandings regarding which medicine you should take and when.
  • Handle in-person bureaucratic processes confidently, knowing there will be no language barrier.
  • Have an appointment with a patient, or an in-person meeting with a client, who doesn’t speak Spanish.
  • Recruit Spanish-speaking participants for your clinical studies.
  • Provide your clients with the best interpretation service.

For all that, you’ll need high-quality interpreting (oral translation).

I’m Sara Jiménez, professional translator and interpreter. I’ll accompany you to your medical or administrative appointments so Spanish never stands in your way.

I hold a BA in Translation and Interpreting, and I know the hospital sector well, from all perspectives.

That means I communicate well with both healthcare providers and patients. I’ve become familiar with hospital documentation, administrative procedures and more.

I also have training and experience in public services interpreting, so I follow a strict code of ethics.

Impartial, accurate and confidential liaison interpreting
(English-Spanish): how it works

BEFORE

Once you sign the quote, I study for the interpreting session.

That way, I’ll be able to translate all medical or official terms that may come out during the conversation.

DURING

I interpret everything impartially: I do not add or omit anything, and I do not express my personal opinion.

My job is to orally translate everything said. So don’t worry, I’ll never intervene in the conversation.

AFTER

To keep your data confidential, I destroy my notes and the documentation after the interpreting session in strict adherence with my code of ethics (confidentiality, impartiality and accuracy).

Do you need a professional English-Spanish interpreting service to go to a medical or administrative appointment with peace of mind?

Any questions?

Interpreters translate orally. That is, we help two or more people who don’t speak the same language communicate with each other.

Translation covers everything that’s written (documents, websites, books, etc.), and interpreting everything that’s said (interviews, appointments, conferences, etc.).

Each project is different and priced differently, depending on how specialised it is and other factors like journey time. I’ll prepare a personalised quote as soon as you explain your needs.

Yes, I can help you in person both in Cádiz and Seville.

If you need a recording of the session, please let me know so I can prepare the quote accordingly.

In this case, I reserve the right to refuse the assignment because of lack of availability.

Should this happen, please note the payment you made when you accepted the quote (50 % of the total amount) is non-refundable.

Moreover, if the appointment is brought forward and I’m still available, I also reserve the right to apply a surcharge for urgency depending on when I’m given notice.

I need all the information I can get in order to study for the interpreting session and do a good job. That’s why it’s in your best interest to provide me with all the documentation you have.

Thanks to the agency RMH Consultores, my business complies with GDPR. I can send you documents that prove this, if necessary.

In addition, if you wish, you can send me the documents with any personal data removed.

I specialise in medicine, but I also have experience with legal and administration-related topics.
If you’re unsure whether I can help you, just ask!

Yes, I offer language consultancy. I can also provide advice on how to manage a translation or interpreting project, recommend a colleague, help you with managing style guides and translation memories and more.

I have training and experience in public services interpreting. I’m also a member of Asetrad, the Spanish Editors, Translators and Interpreters Association.

Thanks to that, I follow a strict code of ethics (confidentiality, impartiality and accuracy) and I know how to handle any ethical and communication dilemmas that may arise during a liaison interpreting session for a medical or administrative appointment.

In addition, having worked in a hospital and having been a patient myself means I know how to communicate well with healthcare providers and patients. I empathise a lot with both groups, and I’m familiar with hospital documentation and processes.
